No. The 24/4 regimen of YAZ® helps stabilize the hormone levels in your partner’s body therefore lessen hormonal fluctuations.4
How soon does YAZ® provide effective contraception?
The Pill becomes effective immediately if your girlfriend takes it on the first day of her period. She will also be protected during the 4-day inactive tablets period.
